As a result of internal alterations, Aldi ceased to offer access from the store onto the Town
Square and hence the facade on the north side became an unattractive blank space. In an
attempt to improve the look of this, six large planters joined by wooden trellis, were put
in place.
They were planted with evergreen shrubs and ivy and have performed very well ever since. The other troughs in the Town Square were also enhanced with the application of wooden boarding and the whole area now looks green and well cared for - a perfect place to sit and chat.
