Government consults Kent residents on the future structure of local government in Kent
Government has launched a consultation on the future number of councils in Kent and Medway and the areas they should cover. Government wants to hear views from Kent organisations, residents and businesses on the proposed biggest shake up of local government in 50 years. Summary of the HCS Executive Committee’s Comments on the Hythe Imperial Hotel and Golf Course Proposals
Shortly before the public consultation last November, GSE, the hotel owners, invited HCS representatives to a briefing. We listened and raised our concerns. Subsequently, and after further consideration, and taking account of a small number of members’ comments received, our full comments were submitted. A short summary follows for your interest. Hythe Town Council Public Consultation – installation of a permanent beacon
Hythe Town Council are proposing to install a permanent beacon on Marine Parade CT21 (please see map below for exact location). The aim is for the beacon to be erected in time for this year’s VE Day celebrations on 8 May. Beacons are a traditional mark, lit for national celebrations, and form part of official programmes announced by Buckingham Palace for Commonwealth Capitals to take part in special ceremonies.
