A big ‘Thank you’ from Hythe Civic Society and Hythe in Bloom to all the volunteers who watered the plant troughs along the High Street this summer. The conditions were challenging, to say the least, with temperatures on some days in the high 30s. They have all done an amazing job in keeping the High Street looking colourful and welcoming throughout the summer. The Tuesday volunteer gardeners organised by Hythe in Bloom/Hythe Civic Society have been at it again, this time planting 2,000 daffodil bulbs on the grass bank in front of The Prince of Wales pub in Dymchurch Road. They will look amazing in the spring!
