The Hythe Local History Group decided not to hold a meeting this month(Dec) but instead to have a Christmas gathering at the White Hart Pub on Hythe High Street. This event took place on Wednesday, December 10th, at 7 PM.  Alethea, being very organised, researched suitable pubs and concluded that the White Hart was the best choice, comfortable, and centrally located for everyone. Under the auspices of Hythe Civic Society, Hythe in Bloom provides seasonal floral displays in Prospect Road and the High Street for the enjoyment of all. In recent years, this work has expanded to include planting daffodil bulbs around the town to create a spirit-lifting spring display after the long winter months. This year is no exception.
