The Rebuilding of Folkestone Harbour Pier - NFS talk

The next New Folkestone Society talk is this coming Saturday, 26 September. Join us for 'The Rebuilding of Folkestone Harbour Pier' by Tony Hill.

As a popular Victorian port for travel to the Continent, Folkestone harbour needed to adapt to accommodate modern cross-channel ships. The harbour pier was extended between 1897 and 1905. This talk looks at the work through rare period photographs.

The talk takes place in The Back Hall of The Cornerstone Centre (South Kent Community Church - former United Reformed Church near Folkestone Central station). From the main doors, go to the right side of the building and there's a path that leads to the hall.

Doors open at 2pm for a 2.30pm start.

Admission is £5. Refreshments will be served.
