New sponsor for Hythe in Bloom!

Hythe in Bloom operates under the auspices of Hythe Civic Society and, since 2004, it has worked hard to provide summer and winter floral displays in and around Hythe. Funding for the project comes from two main sources: Hythe Town Council and commercial sponsors.

This year, Hythe in Bloom is delighted to announce that H V Wooding Ltd has joined commercial sponsors Lawrence and Co Estate Agents and Charlier Construction as sponsors of the floral displays in Hythe.

Established in 1968, HVW provides metal components to manufacturers throughout the world in volumes ranging from prototypes to mass production, and employs 90 staff on the Hythe site, which covers an area of 5,000 square metres.

The new sign, displaying the HVW logo, is located in Red Lion Square and replaces the one for Gopak who, having been sponsors for twenty years, stepped down in 2025. Anxious to make up the shortfall in funding, HIB is very pleased to receive support from an important Hythe-based company.

Sally Chesters, organiser of HIB said, ’Having lost one of our sponsors, it was a very worrying time but we are thankful that HV Wooding Ltd has stepped into the breach. Their funding over the next three years means that we can continue to provide the same number of floral displays as usual to keep Hythe looking colourful, and we are most grateful for their support.’
