Hythe Civic Society – Volunteers Sought

The Hythe Civic Society (an independent charity with over 570 members) is seeking applications and expressions of interest for the voluntary roles of Chair and Committee Members.

The Society works to protect and enhance the heritage, character and environment of Hythe, while promoting civic pride and supporting positive community development.

We are seeking individuals who:

• Have an interest in community affairs

• Care about heritage and conservation matters

• Wish to promote and enhance Hythe’s distinctive character

• Are willing to contribute time, ideas and enthusiasm to a voluntary organisation

The role of Chairman offers an opportunity to help guide the direction of the Society, act as a representative, working alongside a committed and supportive committee. Meetings are held monthly. Occasional events are held. Projects are usually committee member led.

No specific professional background is required — only a genuine interest in the town and a willingness to be involved.
