As part of the Society's programme of events to celebrate its 80th Anniversary in 2025, Andy McConnell, the Antiques Roadshow's glass expert, has agreed to talk about his life and provide an insight into behind the scenes at the Antiques Roadshow, in "An Evening of Banter with Bonkers" at St Leonard's Church on Saturday evening, 21 June 2025. Entry to the talk is by pre-purchased ticket only. Tickets cost £12 and are available at "Open Door” 101 High Street. Proceeds from the Talk are to be shared between the two food banks operating in Hythe - The Hythe Pantry and Salvation Army Food Bank.
